This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Define and spearhead the strategy for data engineering, AI engineering, and core data services to guarantee scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the complete data lifecycle from various sources (IoT, field data, manufacturing, and production systems), which includes engineering, modeling, deployment, monitoring, and data operations.
• Lead international teams tasked with data architecture, data engineering, integration, and data operations.
• Ensure that AI environments fulfill security, performance, availability, compliance, and cost-optimization standards.
• Foster a global integration of data and AI capabilities, tools, engineering best practices, and operational processes.
• Supervise global monitoring, incident and problem management, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 14 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, and platform operations; OR a graduate degree in a relevant field accompanied by at least 12 years of experience in these domains.
• Proven experience leading large global engineering and operations teams.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud data ecosystems such as Databricks and Snowflake, including their integration capabilities.
• Familiarity with AI platforms, MLOps pipelines, model operations, and high-performance computing environments.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, engineering patterns, observability, operational frameworks, and platform security.
• Demonstrated ability to convert business strategy into a technical roadmap and deliver scalable, enterprise-wide solutions.
• Excellent influencing, communication, and collaboration skills with both technical and business leaders.
• Acknowledged experience in modernization, standardization, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.
• Proven track record in building and nurturing high-performing engineering and operations teams.
