This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Spearhead the discovery, research, and rapid experimentation processes for Data & AI products.
• Supervise Discovery Designers to ensure a thorough understanding of user requirements.
• Lead user discovery initiatives, which include interviews, contextual studies, surveys, and validation experiments.
• Champion rapid prototyping standards and learning cycles in collaboration with the Data & AI Tech Lead.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Tech Leads to define problems, personas, journeys, opportunity areas, and feasibility assessments.
• Ensure that the usability of Data & AI products aligns with targeted business objectives.
• Facilitate design thinking workshops and co-creation sessions.
• Ensure that insights contribute to product strategy and roadmaps.
• Mentor and develop discovery designers.
• Align research and design efforts with technical feasibility, compliance, data readiness, and privacy standards.
• Promote the adoption of contemporary discovery frameworks and dual-track discovery/delivery methodologies.
• Define early telemetry and observability requirements.
• Design and refine product workflows that integrate discovery, prototyping, and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with commercialization teams to develop value narratives, proof points, and readiness strategies for AI capabilities.
• Manage discovery tools and vendor strategies while overseeing total cost of ownership.
• Report directly to the SVP of Data & AI Product.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.
• Over 10 years of experience in product design, UX research, service design, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience is required.
• Proven experience in leading design or discovery teams.
• Familiarity with ADO, Jira, React, Confluence, and other agile project management and collaboration tools is highly desirable.
• Strong qualitative research and prototyping capabilities.
• Proficient in journey mapping, problem framing, and experience modeling.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives across various enterprise functions.
• Understanding of the Product Operating Model.
