This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take the lead in continuously improving the company’s Compliance Management System for lending.
• Ensure adherence to relevant federal and state regulations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, UDAAP, SAFE Act, and applicable state laws.
• Monitor changes in regulations and act as the primary point of contact for regulators and auditors.
• Create and maintain compliance policies, controls, monitoring, and testing programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate marketing materials, disclosures, loan documents, and product modifications.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, operations, capital markets, servicing, and technology teams to integrate compliance into systems and workflows.
• Manage issue resolution, consumer complaint processes, corrective actions, and executive reporting.
• Foster a robust culture of compliance through training and collaboration across functions.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in compliance within lending originations; experience in servicing or asset-backed lending is advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state lending regulations, including HELOC, DSCR, and crypto-backed loan products.
• Background in managing regulatory examinations and external audits.
• Demonstrated experience in leading compliance teams.
• Strong comprehension of lending operations and the entire loan lifecycle.
• Experience in fintech or technology-driven mortgage platforms is beneficial.
• CAMS, CRCM, or similar certifications are advantageous.
• Excellent judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
