DevOps Engineer – Secret

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Automating, optimizing, and securing the delivery pipeline for mission-critical systems of an enterprise scale.

• Integrating best practices of DevSecOps along with innovative toolsets.

• Collaborating with application development teams to refactor or develop solutions that utilize the DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline and its associated tools.

• Assisting in the creation of new software solutions and the migration of existing solutions from monolithic architectures to micro-service architectures functioning within secure containers.

• Implementing and maintaining a microservices factory using both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Preferred SAFe Agile Certification or an equivalent certification recognized in the industry.

• Over 5 years of experience in Agile methodologies.

• More than 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Must hold an IT-II security clearance or possess a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.

• CSP Certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure SA) are required.

• Must have 8570 certifications, specifically Security+.

• Proven experience in defining SAFe Agile methodologies for large-scale clients.

• Demonstrated experience in leading DevOps practices.

• Proven expertise in implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability in driving an automated software development lifecycle toolchain.

• Experience with deployments in both on-premise and cloud environments.

• Experience acting as the engineer for complex technology implementations within a product-centric environment.

• Familiarity with DevOps services using infrastructure as a service providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack).

• Ability to use scripting or basic programming skills to address issues.

• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., TFS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, LVM).

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket, OpenShift).
