This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, improve, and manage multi-stage CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, which include build processes, caching, and strategies for blue/green deployments, canary releases, and rollbacks.
• Create and maintain reusable Terraform modules, focusing on state and workspace management, as well as plan reviews through Atlantis.
• Manage and enhance AWS and GCP environments, prioritizing availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Deploy and support Kubernetes workloads using Helm and ArgoCD, while troubleshooting workloads, resources, and networking issues.
• Implement and improve observability using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/Tempo, and CloudWatch.
• Define and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets for essential services.
• Engage in the on-call rotation, respond to incidents, troubleshoot production issues, and compose postmortem reports.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Go, or Bash, and enhance the internal CLI.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices into pipelines and collaborate with development teams to address any findings.
• Contribute to FinOps initiatives, including cost analysis, tagging, right-sizing, and identifying savings opportunities.
• Maintain the edge and network security layer using Cloudflare, WAF, DNS, and ZTNA, ensuring compliance with Brazil's LGPD data protection law.
• Mentor team members, participate in design and architecture reviews, establish standards, and document decisions, runbooks, and architectures.
• Utilize AI tools for automation, troubleshooting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) reviews, and documentation, ensuring sensitive data is handled responsibly.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure secure, automated, observable, and scalable deployments.
• Strong experience in managing production environments on AWS, demonstrating autonomy with ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM, and networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers).
• Proficient in Terraform, including the creation of modules, state management, workspaces, and provider versioning.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining complex GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration technologies: Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes, including troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of observability concepts: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts.
• Experience in production Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Scripting skills in automation using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Strong grasp of Git and branching strategies.
• Fundamentals of infrastructure security, including secrets management, least privilege, hardening, and network segmentation.
• Active and critical use of AI assistants in technical tasks.
• Capability to work independently on moderately complex projects, document decisions, and articulate technical choices.
• Preferred certifications and experience include AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, Terraform Associate, CKA/CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, GitOps, Helm, GCP, SRE, FinOps, DevSecOps, Cloudflare, LGPD, AI automation, n8n, and mentoring.
