DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a team of DevOps and DBA specialists.

• Enhance current infrastructure and processes across the six countries where we are currently active, while also streamlining procedures for deployment in new countries in the future.

• Holistically advance all dimensions of our DevOps infrastructure, focusing on cost reduction, efficient environment provisioning, faster response times, and the integration of the latest techniques and technologies.

• Oversee and maintain the existing cloud infrastructure utilizing autoscaling, automated alerts, and OpsWork and Grafana dashboards.

• Assume ownership and accountability for our cloud operational activities.

• Coordinate with external security agencies for annual audits and conduct our own internal security assessments.

• Assist in reconfiguring the existing architecture to facilitate swift deployments in new countries.

• Mentor less experienced team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in DevOps.

• Proven ability to independently lead the planning and execution of projects.

• Proficient with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with a strong understanding of utilizing cloud resources to meet the demands of other teams and production.

• Comprehensive knowledge of modern Micro Services and Service Mesh concepts.

• Experience in managing Kubernetes, including CI/CD processes with Kubernetes.

• Strong networking expertise, particularly with the TCP/IP stack and HTTP protocol.

• Solid understanding of caching mechanisms, including CDN, HTTP cache, and Redis/Memcached.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, particularly in diagnosing Linux OS issues and optimizing OS parameters; JVM optimization experience is a significant advantage.
