This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Neota is an innovative no-code automation platform that empowers professionals in insurance, compliance, and legal sectors to
• create and implement workflow automation solutions without the need to write any code.
• The DevOps Engineer will oversee the maintenance of secure, high-performing cloud infrastructure across both AWS and
• Microsoft Azure, which includes the management and patching of Linux servers.
• This position emphasizes enhancing system reliability
• and performance, assisting development teams with production troubleshooting, and sustaining in-house
• deployment tools developed using Django.
• The role also entails managing backups, databases, and source control systems such as
• Git, while ensuring robust security practices and clear documentation of architecture and networks.
• Work for this position will need to be conducted during US business hours.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
• infrastructure that supports Neota Logic and its clients.
• Overseeing, updating, and patching our fleet of Linux application servers.
• Optimizing our cloud-based delivery systems to ensure excellent availability, responsiveness, and performance.
• Assisting software development teams in troubleshooting production issues.
• Maintaining, updating, and expanding our internally developed Django-based
• build/deployment/infrastructure management tool.
• Ensuring the security of our networks and applications.
• Managing backups, databases, and source control management (like Git).
• Assisting in documenting architecture, networking, and security - both internally and externally.
• Availability to work 4 hours one weekend per month.
• Required Skills: AWS (EC2/RDS), Azure, Scripting (Bash, Python), Network Management, RDBMS/SQL
• Administration, Linux, Security. Experience with Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace administration is considered a plus.
• Education: BS in Computer Science (MS preferred).
• Professional Experience: At least 3 years.
• Minimum of 2 years in Linux Systems Administration. Must be comfortable and proficient working from the UNIX command line.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in administering public cloud systems, particularly AWS
• (EC2, RDS, Guard Duty, WAR, etc.) and Azure.
• Proven proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with administering SQL relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Ability to quickly adapt and excel in a complex environment.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and solutions clearly and in an organized manner.
• Ability to work independently and meet established goals with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, balanced with a solid understanding of the bigger picture.
