DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for Java-centric microservices and enterprise healthcare applications utilizing tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or equivalent.

• Tailor CI/CD pipelines to include build phases, test automation, artifact management, and deployment methodologies.

• Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

• Deploy and oversee AWS cloud infrastructure, encompassing EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, and various networking components.

• Diagnose application, infrastructure, and deployment challenges, leveraging strong Linux administration and debugging capabilities.

• Develop and sustain automation scripts using Bash, Shell, or Python for deployment and operational functions.

• Partner with Java development teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of DevOps, platform engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience in an enterprise setting.

• Strong background in Java development — capable of reading, debugging, and collaborating with Java/Spring Boot codebases.

• Practical experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).

• Expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectural patterns.

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes / EKS).

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code practices utilizing Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Comprehensive understanding of networking, security groups, VPCs, and IAM within AWS.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, PagerDuty, etc.).

• Excellent communication skills — capable of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
