DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Oversee, operate, and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, or self-managed).

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).

• Enhance system reliability, performance, availability, and scalability.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

• Support zero-downtime deployments, rollback procedures, and release strategies.

• Diagnose production issues, including latency, errors (e.g., 502s), pod crashes, OOMs, and networking challenges.

• Apply and uphold security best practices, including secrets management, IAM, and network policies.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers on deployment tactics, system architecture, and operational readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Extensive experience with Linux environments and shell scripting.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Strong grasp of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

• Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Good understanding of networking principles (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).

• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

• Solid understanding of performance, scalability, and reliability principles.

• Background in backend or web application environments.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python.

• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and drive projects from start to finish.
