This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Collaborate with the Development team at the American Lung Association to implement fundraising initiatives.
• Assist in donor relations and the planning of events.
• Acquire knowledge of event terminology and the execution of large-scale gatherings.
• Engage in staff meetings and various learning opportunities.
• Create communications for email fundraising campaigns, press releases, and event promotions.
• Build professional relationships and communicate effectively in a business environment.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Public Relations, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
• Must qualify for college credit for the internship.
• Excellent writing abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in the mission of the American Lung Association.
• Capability to multitask and thrive in a collaborative setting.
• Eagerness to learn.
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. (supplies).
