This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, and packages utilizing Oracle 11g or later.
• Collaborate in production implementations alongside other members of the production support team to ensure the seamless transition of system changes into production environments.
• Design, develop, and sustain scripts for automation, data processing, and database maintenance and monitoring solutions using scripting languages such as PL/SQL, Perl, and shell.
• Conduct general technical troubleshooting and provide consultation to development teams.
• Analyze data and debug with a primary focus on identifying data quality issues.
• Offer application troubleshooting support, pinpointing root causes and executing permanent solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams and operational procedures.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database and application performance issues, collaborating closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Ensure database environments adhere to best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.
• Engage in production implementations, working collaboratively with other members of the production support group to ensure the effective transition of system changes into production environments.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field, or FOUR (4) additional years of relevant experience.
• At least SIX (6) years of relevant experience as an Oracle Database Developer.
• Proficient in creating, modifying, and optimizing SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving data and system performance issues.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, such as RDS, Lambda, EC2, and Redshift, is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• May require participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation or overnight deployments.
• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must secure approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to joining Guidehouse.
• Candidates holding an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle performance tuning, including optimization of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, encompassing triggers, procedures, functions, and packages.
• Proficient in SQL Developer, SQL Loader, and other related Oracle tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication as well as listening skills.
• Proven capability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, showcasing strong planning and coordination skills.
• High levels of self-motivation and adaptability, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex technical issues in a distributed and intricate IT environment, collaborating with both local and remote teams.
