This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Play a pivotal role in the design and execution of security-related components within Managed Services.
• Create and sustain Key Management Systems (KMS) with KMIP interfaces, including both client and server logic.
• Execute KMIP operations such as Create, Register, Get, Locate, Destroy, Encrypt/Decrypt, Sign/Verify.
• Analyze, interpret, and generate KMIP messages (TTLV, and optionally JSON).
• Manage various object types including Symmetric Keys, Public/Private Keys, Certificates, Templates, and Secret Data.
• Integrate and configure KMIP clients within applications like databases, storage systems, and application servers.
• Establish and uphold TLS-secured connections (including mutual TLS and client certificates) between the KMS and KMIP clients.
• Strong experience in programming Key Management Systems (KMS) or other security-related systems.
• Practical knowledge of KMIP interfaces (client and/or server implementation).
• Familiarity with KMIP operations (Create, Register, Get, Locate, Destroy, Encrypt/Decrypt, Sign/Verify) and their corresponding data structures.
• Experience in parsing and creating KMIP messages (e.g., TTLV, optionally JSON) and mapping them to internal data models.
• Proficient in managing and maintaining object attributes (Key Usage, State, Cryptographic Algorithm, Cryptographic Length, Activation/Deactivation Dates).
• Experience in handling various cryptographic object types (Symmetric Keys, Public/Private Keys, Certificates, Templates, Secret Data).
• Extensive knowledge of TLS, certificates, and mutual TLS (including the establishment and maintenance of secure connections between KMS and clients).
• Background in security engineering, particularly in the design and implementation of PKI infrastructures.
• Strong security awareness and commitment to high-quality standards when developing security-critical components.
• Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented working style, especially when dealing with security-critical systems and cryptographic materials.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex security concepts to development teams, architects, and, where necessary, clients.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate closely with backend, DevOps, and architecture teams.
