Designer – Renewables, Civil – Solar

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the project engineer to deliver comprehensive civil design solutions for assigned projects.

• Implement industry design standards on development initiatives and mentor team members.

• Leverage previous design experience to proactively identify and resolve potential design challenges.

• Assist the team in developing and refining design and drafting standards for various projects.

• Focus on efficiency engineering concerning design selection practices.

• Work closely with fellow engineering technicians and seasoned engineers.

• Design will primarily utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, concentrating on road layouts, mass site grading, earthwork takeoffs, and stormwater and erosion and sediment control plans.

• Exhibit a high level of creativity and independence in design tasks.

• Maintain effective communication and interaction with clients to ensure their needs are met.

• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate or technical degree in Engineering Technology or an equivalent qualification is required.

• A minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience leading to a civil engineering technician role, including 3-4+ years of experience in the design of large land development projects is necessary.

• Demonstrated proficiency and practical knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.

• Expertise in large-scale site grading design, modifications to existing civil designs, and earthwork calculations is required.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) is necessary.

• Exceptional presentation and verbal/written communication skills are required.

• Must be analytical, self-driven, and capable of thriving in high-pressure environments while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.

• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. is essential.
