Desarrollador/a COBOL-PL/1 – Mantenimiento y Evolución de Aplicaciones Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Analyze production incidents and business requirements alongside Product Owners and technical teams.

• Design, develop, and implement batch applications utilizing PL/1 technology.

• Perform evolutionary and corrective maintenance on critical enterprise applications.

• Provide technical and functional support to clients during the implementation and evolution of insurance sector solutions.

• Utilize and adapt development frameworks to maintain, extend, and customize existing functionalities.

• Participate in the optimization and continuous improvement of batch processes and core applications.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation of processes and developments.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in international environments.

• Research and adopt new technologies that contribute to the enhancement of technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in PL/1 development.

• Profiles with solid experience in COBOL or Fortran will be valued.

• Basic knowledge of Linux and regular handling of standard commands (vi, grep, sudo, netstat, among others).

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving orientation, and technical autonomy.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• High level of English (minimum B2+/C1), both oral and written.

• Experience in the maintenance and evolution of enterprise applications.

• Ability to work in international environments and collaborate with different business areas.
