This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the daily operations of BSA/AML, including the quality of SARs, regulatory reporting to FinCEN, and transaction monitoring, while addressing significant issues and stepping in for the CCO during their absence.
β’ Take charge of the consumer compliance program operationally, managing UDAAP, Reg E, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA reviews of marketing and advertising materials, along with maintaining disclosures and handling complaints from intake to resolution.
β’ Direct the consumer complaints program from start to finish, identifying systemic issues and recommending root-cause solutions instead of merely closing tickets.
β’ Assist with multi-state MTL compliance, which includes license renewals, regulatory notifications, and preparing for examinations across all active LemFi states in the US.
β’ Oversee compliance commitments with sponsor banks, ensuring that statuses are documented, open items are tracked, and the CCO is kept informed to avoid surprises.
β’ Contribute to the compliance sections of board and executive management reports, as well as support the organization-wide compliance risk assessment.
β’ Utilize AI tools to streamline policy drafting, prepare evidence packs, and conduct regulatory research, thereby allowing more time for critical judgement calls that require your expertise.
β’ A minimum of 6 years of compliance experience within US payments, money transmission, fintech, or financial services, with substantial hands-on expertise in both BSA/AML and consumer compliance.
β’ Strong working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, FinCEN requirements, and OFAC, including direct involvement in SAR and CTR processes.
β’ Experience in contributing to a consumer compliance program that encompasses UDAAP, Reg E, and complaints management, not just providing advice.
β’ Knowledge of multi-state MTL compliance and the regulatory expectations set by state money transmission regulators.
β’ Experience working within or in conjunction with a sponsor bank or BaaS compliance framework, with an understanding of how these relationships function under pressure.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills: capable of producing clear compliance guidance, policy documents, and regulatory correspondence that both the business and regulators can trust.
β’ Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities across two compliance workstreams, and make sound judgement calls independently.
