This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Create automations for the data platform utilizing infrastructure as code, ensuring durability, high performance, and user-friendliness while upholding governance and security standards;
• Oversee the data layer and its associated services, guaranteeing they remain observable, scalable, and adaptable to fulfill the platform’s requirements;
• Enhance engineering team productivity by designing and implementing frameworks, methodologies, and standards that streamline team operations;
• Guide and develop team members in data engineering best practices to encourage scalability and cloud automations, working collaboratively with all teams;
• Transform business requirements into effective, reusable technological solutions for the platform, promoting a data-driven environment;
• Formulate and test hypotheses, swiftly adjusting to shifts in priorities or circumstances;
• Operate independently while consistently depending on and contributing to the team;
• Take ownership of the data platform by identifying and refining requirements for enhancements, optimizations, and technological advancements;
• Track platform availability, performance, capacity, and usage trends, suggesting tactical or strategic adjustments as necessary.
• CI/CD & Data Automation: Extensive experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions), focusing on the automated deployment of infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Cloud: Proficient in cloud computing, ideally with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Backend Development: Skilled in Python and TypeScript, with a solid history of creating robust APIs and scalable services.
• Distributed Architecture: Significant experience with microservices architecture and patterns of distributed systems.
• AI Ecosystem: Proficient in developing and integrating AI agents and implementing MCPs.
• Data Engineering (Differential): Familiarity with Data Lakehouse architectures, data modeling, and data pipelines.
• Technical independence for decision-making, comprehensive architectural vision, and the capability to lead the resolution of complex challenges.
