Databricks Platform Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of, optimize, and secure the Databricks environment, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and well-monitored for data and ML workloads.

• Enhance and streamline data and ML workflows within Databricks, promoting self-service capabilities and supporting Unity Catalog for governance and discovery.

• Establish and uphold Databricks security, access controls, and compliance practices, ensuring governance follows least-privilege principles and aligns with enterprise standards.

• Collaborate with data and ML teams to enhance the Databricks platform, advocate for best practices and automation, and coordinate with DevOps regarding cloud infrastructure and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in administering or engineering on Databricks, or in a closely related role within a data platform.

• Strong understanding of Databricks workspace administration, including cluster policies, permissions, Unity Catalog, Jobs/Workflows, and networking.

• Familiarity with AWS services that support Databricks deployments, such as S3, IAM, VPC, and EC2.

• Experience with data pipeline and orchestration tools including dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or Delta Live Tables.

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with expected familiarity in Spark.

• Knowledge of contemporary data governance and access control methodologies, including Unity Catalog, RBAC, and data classification.
