📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and enhance SQL Server stored procedures and intricate queries that facilitate large-scale investment performance evaluations.

• Transform and map data from custodial and investment data sources into structured, analytics-ready data models.

• Identify and resolve performance issues across extensive datasets (ranging from millions to billions of records).

• Collaborate closely with application and UI engineers whose reports and dashboards depend on your database outputs.

• Work in partnership with both onshore engineers and an offshore development team to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Engage in platform modernization initiatives for new large enterprise client programs.

• Join a highly skilled engineering team addressing complex and significant challenges at the crossroads of data, finance, and analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• What we’re seeking

• Core technical skills

• - Extensive Microsoft SQL Server expertise (non-negotiable).

• - Strong practical experience in writing and fine-tuning complex SQL and T-SQL.

• - Demonstrated experience in SQL Server performance enhancement and troubleshooting.

• - Background in developing database logic for analytics and reporting environments (not focused on infrastructure or admin roles).

• Domain expertise (essential)

• - Previous experience with investment performance reporting or analytics systems.

• - Experience in the investment management sector is crucial.

• - Strong comprehension of fundamental investment concepts such as:

• - Equity versus fixed income.

• - Benchmarks and returns.

• - Custodial data and financial data structures.

• - Ability to assess and validate what “reasonable” performance outcomes should resemble.

• Nice to have

• - Experience with Python.

• - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools for coding or testing.

• - Background with asset managers, investment advisors, and custodians.
