Data Warehouse III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Research, propose, and implement modern Azure/cloud-based technologies to replace outdated data warehouse systems and processes.

• Develop ETL packages to facilitate data translation and transfer between vendor systems and the Data Warehouse.

• Construct, enhance, and sustain SSAS OLAP cubes.

• Engage directly with business representatives to gather requirements and review ongoing work.

• Oversee production jobs, rectify failures, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.

• Manage break/fix incidents and lead solutions to rectify and prevent recurring issues.

• Monitor and enhance the overall health of the data warehouse environment.

• Communicate data warehouse-related issues, modifications, and outages to the department manager and end-user community.

• Suggest standards, procedures, and policies for internal operations and customer groups.

• Organize work schedules to ensure timely processing of responsibilities.

• Identify opportunities for business improvement.

• Acquire new technologies and techniques to bolster development skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• A 4-year degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience is required.

• Over 7 years of experience as a SQL / Data Warehouse Developer in a SQL Server or similar environment.

• Strong proficiency and experience with SQL; candidates will undergo testing.

• Experience in creating performance-tuned stored procedures and functions.

• Familiarity with SSRS or a comparable tool.

• ETL development experience is highly preferred.

• Ability to design, develop, optimize, and maintain OLAP cubes using Microsoft SSAS is strongly preferred.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced automated production environment.

• Auto insurance experience is a plus.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Well-developed critical thinking abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team player across the organization.
