• Work remotely providing support for a government contract with a client based in Washington, DC.
• Collaborate on technical solutions and spearhead implementation initiatives.
• Create and engineer data workflows to integrate diverse data sources.
• Design and develop automation processes for managing security tools.
• Utilize analytical rigor and statistical techniques to analyze extensive datasets.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
• A Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics is required; alternatively, additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Over 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, data science, data project engineering, or software development focused on data solutions.
• Proven experience in designing technical solutions and leading teams in the implementation of these designs.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (such as Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or Scala).
• Familiarity with containerization tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in architecting and designing innovative analytic methods utilizing machine learning techniques.
• Background in developing and supporting data-oriented tasks for cybersecurity solutions, such as creating machine learning algorithms, data models, or architectural strategies for cyber defense.
• Experience in developing and engineering data workflows to combine disparate data sources and extract data-driven insights.
• Skilled in designing and developing automation for security tools management, including crafting customized searches and applications.
• Knowledge of Cloud Service Provider (CSP) solutions and their offerings (Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS)).
• Experience with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools and capabilities.
• Ability to leverage a range of data science capabilities and programming languages, analyze and resolve critical data challenges using diverse methodologies, and maintain data integrity.
• Familiarity with host and network-based security technologies.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks.
• Capability to apply analytical rigor and advanced statistical/machine learning methods to analyze substantial datasets.
• Proficiency in analyzing both structured and unstructured data to address multiple complex cybersecurity challenges using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
• Competence in supporting high-visibility reporting on cybersecurity data through the development of data visualizations and dashboards.
• Must hold at least a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification.
