Data Scientist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize a wide range of expertise including data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning to provide impactful, objective, and actionable data insights that facilitate informed business and product decisions.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and product, to uncover business opportunities and create data-driven solutions that promote growth and engagement.

• Collaborate with line of business teams and engage with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to support data-driven decision-making that leads to significant outcomes.

• Effectively convey analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior business partners through verbal, visual, and written communication.

• Excel in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 2 years of experience in data science within an industry setting.

• Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning principles. Familiarity with machine learning concepts such as regression/classification, clustering, and offline/online model evaluation.

• Proficient in advanced machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, graph algorithms, deep learning (e.g., NLP), recommendation systems, and generative AI.

• Experience with Python and SQL, as well as machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Familiarity with cloud solutions, preferably utilizing AWS tools (e.g., SageMaker, DynamoDB, Athena, Glue, etc.).

• Knowledge of model workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).

• Proven experience working alongside engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to present complex quantitative analyses clearly, precisely, and in an actionable format.
