This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to establish and uphold project construction timelines by effectively utilizing on-site resources, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Supervise subcontractors on-site in partnership with the Project Manager, including monitoring production and adhering to project schedules and contract budgets.
• Partner with the Project Manager to create project execution plans, conduct kick-off meetings, and perform contract and scope reviews, ensuring that data center-specific commissioning and handover milestones are integrated.
• Work with the on-site Quality Representative to maintain the company's quality management program, ensuring the delivery of a quality product that meets design and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to utilize the Change Management System; engage with clients to review and resolve all RFIs and change orders promptly.
• Mentor, train, and motivate job-site crews to foster a culture of safety, quality, and productivity; empower crews to stay informed about company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all daily reports, work plans, and crew timesheets are completed and submitted on a daily basis.
• Assist with internal and external audits and inspection activities; conduct equipment reviews and scheduling as necessary.
• Journeyperson Electrician designation (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience in data center or large facility construction, including medium voltage electrical distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, precision cooling, structured cabling, or critical facilities commissioning.
• Knowledgeable in construction disciplines, safety regulations, project scheduling, as well as cost and quality management.
• Proven capacity to manage work groups of up to 50 individuals across various disciplines.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• **Preferred Skills / Qualifications**
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data center commissioning and handover processes.
