This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models that enhance business operations: including churn prediction, LTV forecasting, propensity and uplift modeling, and recommendations.
• Manage complete ML workflows: encompassing feature engineering, model creation, assessment, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
• Oversee models in production, retraining or modifying them as the product and user base change.
• Investigate opportunities where AI/ML generates tangible product value as the company transitions towards AI-driven products.
• Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests, uplift, causal inference), ensuring rigor in measuring impact and minimizing variance.
• Contribute to the development of the experimentation framework and modeling standards, establishing a foundation for the broader team.
• Manage user-level data with care: implementing privacy-conscious feature engineering, preventing leakage of sensitive information, and adhering to data-use regulations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to operationalize models with dependable feature pipelines, and utilize a feature store when beneficial.
• Convert model results into straightforward, actionable recommendations for Product, Growth, and leadership, aligning efforts with company objectives.
• Over 3 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with a strong grasp of the contemporary ML stack (including scikit-learn, and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow as applicable).
• Solid understanding of statistics and experiment design: covering significance, causal inference, and uplift or propensity modeling.
• Practical experience with predictive use cases: including churn, LTV, propensity, or recommendations.
• Confidence in managing a model from start to finish — from problem definition to production and evaluation, not limited to just notebooks.
• Capability to translate intricate analyses into a clear narrative and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• A sense of curiosity and independence — thriving in a dynamic environment where the roadmap is subject to rapid changes.
