• Collaborate with our team of engineers, scientists, and human factors experts to develop machine learning and algorithmic data capabilities for sectors such as cybersecurity, space, and telecommunications.
• This role is an individual contributor position that includes hands-on responsibilities in collecting data and creating solutions to address real-world challenges using machine learning.
• The solutions created will be actively implemented to enhance ongoing cybersecurity efforts and meet vital infrastructure and security requirements.
• Work together to establish data collection methods and design experiments that ensure the quality and utility of the data.
• Develop and assess machine learning solutions to interdisciplinary challenges in cybersecurity and telecommunications, utilizing both structured (time-series, tabular) and unstructured (text, 3D) data.
• Collaborate with human factors specialists and data/full-stack engineers to outline system requirements, review produced code, and assist in conveying statistical concepts to colleagues.
• Aid in documenting analysis findings for semi-technical stakeholders.
• Occasionally engage in technical interactions such as collaboration, defining technical requirements for external data collections, and reviewing technical work.
• A minimum of a graduate-level education (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as natural sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, psychology, or a related area is preferred.
• Outstanding candidates with a bachelor’s degree and significant applied machine learning or data science experience may also be considered.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with an open-source data science stack (e.g., pandas, numpy, pytorch, keras, tensorflow, pymc3, etc.).
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience managing real-world, complex datasets.
• Proficient in communicating technical results to a semi-technical audience.
• Preferred: Experience in a product-driven machine learning organization with deployed customer-facing capabilities.
• Familiarity with big data environments, including tools for large-scale data storage and sensor-based data collection workflows.
• Experience in RF/Telecommunications physics, cybersecurity, or space operations.
• Experience with UAS operations, with a preference for candidates holding Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
• Employees may be required to attend in-person meetings, training sessions, or company events at Knowmadics offices or other designated locations.
• Travel to support business operations may also be necessary, and employees are expected to adhere to these requirements as part of their role.
• Some weekend work may be necessary depending on project deadlines or operational demands.
