Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Extract and analyze extensive real-world data to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships pertinent to clinical outcomes, product performance, accuracy, and usage.

• Collaborate with the clinical team to design, execute, and interpret statistical analyses of clinical study data.

• Generate scientific insights, publication-ready visuals, and statistical summaries for conferences, posters, and peer-reviewed journals.

• Utilize statistical methods to analyze user and product data regarding engagement, retention, conversion, feature usage, and segmentation.

• Design, conduct, and interpret experiments and statistical tests that assess product or feature modifications.

• Create reproducible, traceable, and well-documented analytical workflows in alignment with ISO 13485, MDR, and GCP standards.

• Contribute to the shared codebase in Python/SQL/Spark using Git, CI/CD, and code review methodologies.

• Choose and implement statistical and modeling techniques while evaluating assumptions, limitations, and the reliability of results.

• Collaborate with clinical, scientific, product, and engineering teams.

• Effectively communicate analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist Product and Leadership in decision-making through trustworthy, reproducible analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• MSc (or equivalent demonstrated expertise) in Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or another quantitative discipline.

• 3–5 years of practical experience in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Analytics, or a similar quantitative field; strong candidates with less experience are also encouraged to apply.

• High proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience with Spark is a significant advantage.

• Solid statistical knowledge in hypothesis testing, regression, survival analysis, experimental design, and statistical modeling.

• Capability to select suitable statistical methods, evaluate assumptions and limitations, and interpret results effectively.

• Familiarity with clinical study design and biostatistics.

• Ability to convert ambiguous clinical, scientific, product, or business inquiries into clearly defined analytical challenges.

• Proven track record of transforming large, complex, real-world datasets into coherent, publication-ready analyses and scientific figures.

• Proficient in English.

• Residing in Western Europe, including countries such as Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, or Germany.

• Advanced statistical or predictive modeling experience is a plus.

• Experience with Databricks and/or BI/dashboarding tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with handling sensitive/clinical data and knowledge of GDPR and HIPAA are beneficial.

• PhD is a plus.
