This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.
• Validate comprehensive data pipelines from source systems to data marts.
• Conduct testing on batch data loads.
• Verify transformations, aggregations, and derived metrics.
• Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across all layers.
• Understand data governance, privacy, and handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
• Write complex SQL queries to confirm the validity of fact and dimension tables in Redshift.
• Validate data models, including fact/dimension tables, keys, and relationships.
• Perform reconciliation between raw, curated, and reporting layers.
• Validate business KPIs and metrics against source systems and defined standards.
• Validate data ingestion in S3, including file counts, schema, partitions, and formats.
• Review Glue Job and Lambda execution logs to troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Monitor pipeline health, failures, and data refresh Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Strong SQL proficiency, including joins and aggregations.
• Practical experience in testing data pipelines, ETL processes, or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, Athena, and CloudWatch.
• Experience in validating structured and semi-structured data formats (e.g., Parquet, JSON, CSV).
• Solid grasp of data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling.
• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with a significant emphasis on manual testing.
• Proven experience in testing complex web and/or mobile applications.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging network, console, and UI issues.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Excellent skills in test design, defect management, and reporting.
• Experience with tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
