This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design, create, and sustain Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports utilized across various client projects.
• Develop and enhance data models and DAX calculations to facilitate scalable, high-performance analytics and dashboards.
• Prepare, transform, and structure data for analysis using SQL, Power BI (Power Query), and Azure-based data sources.
• Manage and support Power BI dataset refreshes, troubleshoot failures, and resolve performance or data-related issues.
• Execute data quality assurance to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of data before analytics and reporting utilization.
• Examine incoming client data and create mapping logic and documentation to facilitate analytics-ready SQL tables and Power BI datasets.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to convert reporting and business requirements into clear, actionable Power BI dashboards.
• Support Azure-based data environments that supply Power BI solutions, including SQL databases, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and SFTP integrations.
• Ensure secure client data ingestion by facilitating SFTP access, file transfers, and troubleshooting connectivity and ingestion challenges.
• Handle healthcare data containing PHI, ensuring adherence to security, privacy, and data governance standards throughout the analytics process.
• Work alongside internal team members and consultants to address data and reporting challenges, prioritize requests, and support multiple simultaneous client engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with Power BI.
• Expert-level knowledge of Semantic Models, Parameters, Pipeline deployments, Incremental refresh policies, Measures, Workspace configuration, and credentials.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Experience in designing and maintaining analytics-ready data models.
• Familiarity with Azure-based data environments (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory).
• Experience dealing with various data formats (837/835 preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, data quality, and thorough documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-client setting.
