This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will serve as the foundational architect for Summer’s Data & Intelligence Platform.
• Drive the transition from an application-centric data culture to an enterprise-level platform.
• Design the "Identity" strategy that integrates diverse federal and private data sources into a cohesive user profile.
• Provide support to the entire organization, which includes preparing data artifacts, processes, and governance methods to empower Sales, Marketing, Operations, and the complete Summer team.
• Establish and implement the strategy for comprehensive data lifecycle management, encompassing ingestion, storage, processing, quality, and accessibility.
• Lead the integration of varied data sources to develop a precise, 360-degree perspective of a user’s debt history.
• Enhance our existing Snowflake infrastructure into a governed, high-performance Business Intelligence layer.
• Over 8 years of experience in Data Engineering or Platform Architecture, preferably in fast-growing Fintech or highly regulated sectors.
• Demonstrated success in transitioning an organization from ad-hoc reporting to a systematic "Data Platform" approach.
• Extensive experience with the data aspects of LLM orchestration, including RAG architectures, Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), feature stores, and more.
• Proficient in Snowflake, Python, dbt, and Airflow. Familiarity with Kubernetes-based data stacks and other ETL/reverse-ETL tools is a plus.
• Rather than merely resolving tickets, you focus on eliminating bottlenecks. You approach challenges with a mindset centered on feedback loops, unit economics, and scalable solutions.
• A strong dedication to leveraging data as a catalyst for positive change. You maintain that clean data is essential for achieving financial justice.
