Data Infrastructure Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage our technology stack focused on Snowflake: You will be responsible for designing and maintaining our Snowflake environment, which includes managing Users, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and warehouse scaling strategies.

• Administer and manage our additional technologies such as FiveTran, DataBricks, DBT, Airflow, and Monte Carlo.

• Enhance Performance: Identify and address bottleneck queries in Snowflake and inefficiencies in our other technologies.

• Prioritize Security: Implement data security standards expertly, including Dynamic Data Masking, Row-Level Security (RLS), and the integration of SSO/SAML providers (such as Okta).

• Automate Operations: Transition from manual processes to automation using Python or SQL for user provisioning, alert monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks.

• Manage Costs: Monitor credit consumption and storage usage, establishing "guardrails" to ensure our infrastructure scales without unexpected budget issues.

• (Optional) Assist in Managing the Tableau Ecosystem: Supervise our Tableau Cloud environment, ensuring site health, managing permissions, publications, and certifying data sources for business users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Infrastructure Administration.

• Proficient in administering Data Platform Technologies (such as Databricks and Snowflake).

• Familiarity with SQL and Python.

• Experience managing Data infrastructure on a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• At least 2 years of experience with Azure Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, dbt, Airflow, Spark, and Terraform.

• A security-first approach with expertise in data security standards, data governance, security, and compliance.
