Data Governance Specialist – Microsoft Purview, Sensitivity Labels

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Creating and sustaining information classification frameworks that align with Copilot standards

• Administering and overseeing classification taxonomies utilizing Microsoft Purview

• Setting up and enhancing Sensitivity Labels to manage data access and Copilot utilization

• Designing and upholding automated data classification and labeling policies

• Establishing and overseeing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard sensitive and regulated information

• Tracking governance controls and ensuring readiness for audits through Purview Audit Logs and eDiscovery

• Partnering with IT Security, Compliance, Legal, and business stakeholders to unify governance strategies

• Aiding in the ongoing enhancement of data protection and information governance practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Data Governance or related disciplines

• Profound knowledge in Microsoft Purview and Sensitivity Labels

• Comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem

• Practical experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related area

• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail

• Capability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams

• Master’s degree in Information Governance, Data Protection, or IT Security (preferred)

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, or DLP (preferred)

• Experience with AI governance or data controls related to Copilot (preferred)
