Data Governance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Expand data governance across various datasets, clients, and AI products.

• Establish data quality standards and benchmarks for both loan-level and deal-level data.

• Collaborate with the Data Product Manager, Data Engineering, and Data Analysts to implement quality monitoring.

• Provide reports on data quality metrics and aim for a measurable decrease in failures.

• Assign specific ownership and stewardship for each data domain.

• Keep track of existing data-owner and steward decisions.

• Manage the data dictionary and business definitions across the data warehouse, product, and client-facing documents.

• Define and uphold data rights for client and third-party datasets within the platform.

• Monitor commitments, address blocked tasks, and finalize governance initiatives.

• Work in conjunction with Data Operations, Product, Commercial, and Legal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management.

• Demonstrated success in developing data governance programs from the ground up.

• Highly detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.

• Proficient in reviewing SQL, interpreting data models, and collaborating with engineering teams on technical architecture.

• Practical governance and data quality experience utilizing specialized tools.

• Familiarity with BigQuery, dbt, and Unity Catalog, or platforms like Collibra or Alation.

• Proven track record in designing governance frameworks that encompass quality, lineage, metadata, and compliance for reliable AI data.

• Understanding of ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, metadata, classification, access, and master/reference data.

• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, and ISO 42001.
