• Collaborating closely with the Director of Enterprise Data Management & Business Intelligence, this position will take on daily responsibility for the newly implemented Enterprise Data Governance framework, backed by senior leadership to enhance coordination, promote continuous improvement, and support long-term development throughout the organization.
• Simultaneously, this individual will aid in establishing Power BI standards, providing training, and sharing best practices, thereby expanding BI capabilities within a small yet impactful team.
• This role demands a highly motivated, self-directed individual who can autonomously identify needs, take initiative, and prioritize effectively.
• The ideal candidate should be a governance practitioner at heart, skilled in operationalizing frameworks, managing workgroups, and fostering a culture of data stewardship, while also possessing practical Power BI skills and a sincere desire to empower others to utilize data efficiently.
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, business intelligence, or a related field is required
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and administration, including report governance and training, is necessary
• Proven experience in owning and advancing an enterprise data governance framework within a complex, cross-functional organization is essential
• Experience in managing or contributing to an enterprise data catalog, business glossary, or data quality program is required
• Proven track record of serving as a data Subject Matter Expert (SME) on enterprise-wide projects or initiatives is necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate data concepts and initiatives to a wide range of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership, is required
• Experience in designing and delivering data or BI training programs is strongly preferred
• Experience in coordinating governance bodies, steering committees, or working groups is strongly preferred
• Practical experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Reltio, Informatica, or similar) is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to develop MDM expertise over time is expected
• Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is preferred
