This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Execute the vision and roadmap for our HR Data Governance Strategy, which includes driving metadata management (aligning definitions, capturing data lineage, classifying data, and maintaining/updating HR items in the data catalogue).
• Propel the cultural change agenda by increasing awareness of data governance principles and coaching relevant stakeholders.
• Organize Data Governance forums and workshops with pertinent stakeholders to encourage compliance with governance policies.
• Create and implement Data Quality processes to enable a more proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Assist with Data Access controls established for Global Data Products.
• Collaborate with the Global Data Governance Director, Global Data Stewards for HR data, the Data Governance Center of Excellence, and HR leaders to consistently advance our HR Data Governance Strategy.
• Ensure the sustainable delivery of customer value according to the agreed Data Governance roadmap.
• Provide a clear narrative and articulation of Data Governance principles that are linked to business value, regularly communicating these to stakeholders across Data and HR.
• Monitor and report on specific, measurable KPIs and key results, developing metrics to assess maturity and Data Quality.
• Proactively identify and escalate risks along with mitigation plans and key decisions to the relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate and align with the Data Governance community (including Data Governance Directors and Data Stewards) to ensure best practice sharing and alignment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields.
• 5-7 years of experience in data-related or project roles (such as Data Management, Data Governance, CDO Office, or BI & Analytics team). Previous experience with HR data is preferred but not required.
• A strong passion for and interest in addressing business-oriented data challenges from start to finish, with proven precision and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Data Governance industry best practices, such as DAMA’s DMBoK & CDMP, or EDM Council’s DCAM, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data strategy and management concepts as well as related business processes and tools, including Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Data Quality.
• Strong customer and business orientation with a demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and resolve conflicts.
• Practical experience with Data Governance tools like Data Catalogs (e.g., Talend Data Catalog) and Data Quality Tools.
• A solid understanding of HR constructs and domains, data technologies (e.g., Snowflake), and core transactional systems (e.g., Workday, iCIMS, eightfold.ai, Oracle, SAP) will be advantageous.
