Data Engineer, Spanish Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Designing, developing, and implementing efficient and scalable data pipelines.

• Building and maintaining contemporary data infrastructure, which includes storage layers, databases, processing environments, and monitoring solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services.

• Collaborating with Azure Databricks and related platforms to support data processing, analytics, machine learning, and credit scoring applications.

• Enhancing the performance of data platforms by identifying bottlenecks and fine-tuning processes to ensure stability, scalability, and efficiency.

• Assisting in the implementation of data security, compliance, and governance practices to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

• Partnering with data science, analytics, product, and engineering teams to translate data requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions.

• Supporting data workflows related to credit scoring, fraud detection, risk analytics, lending, and other fintech applications.

• Investigating and assessing new data engineering tools and technologies, recommending enhancements to improve performance and maintainability.

• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flows, and pipeline configurations to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or in a similar role, showcasing strong hands-on expertise in data engineering.

• Availability to work night shifts - a necessary condition.

• Proficient in Spanish, enabling effective communication in international settings.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, facilitating the development and management of cloud-based data solutions.

• Familiarity with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure SQL Database, supporting end-to-end data processing.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL or ELT workflows and scalable data pipelines for reliable data processing.

• Proficient in Python for data processing automation and transformations, allowing flexible and efficient data handling.

• Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and cloud solution design principles, supporting scalable and maintainable systems.

• Experience with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, or distributed data environments, enabling work with complex data ecosystems.

• Capability to deploy, configure, monitor, or support Azure-based data resources, providing operational support for data platforms.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with data science, analytics, engineering, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
