Data Engineer, Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee data environments and processes in Azure and on-premises, ensuring consistent and dependable operation;

• Offer advanced administration and support for Databricks (Azure), including troubleshooting and optimizing operations;

• Monitor and manage pipelines, jobs, integrations, and data routines with a proactive and corrective approach;

• Implement solutions and enhancements to current processes, conducting root-cause analysis to minimize recurrence;

• Lead incident management and resolution efforts (SLA, prioritization, communication, and follow-up until stabilization);

• Assist BI and development teams by ensuring environments are prepared for new releases and requests;

• Continuously advance and enhance DataOps / CI/CD pipelines for data (governance, quality, and reliability);

• Collaborate with infrastructure and architecture teams as necessary (capacity, access, security, network, performance);

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and best practices in the data environment;

• Suggest and implement enhancements in observability, monitoring, and alerting (metrics, logs, traceability).

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering with an emphasis on operations and support (beyond just greenfield projects);

• Proficient experience with Databricks, including troubleshooting and maintaining jobs/pipelines;

• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure;

• Experience in supporting production pipelines, integrations, and data processes;

• Understanding of monitoring, incident management, and problem management (SLA, prioritization, response, and post-incident);

• Significant experience in data projects, including building and maintaining pipelines, data integration, modeling, and working in analytical environments;

• Senior-level independence, strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders, and the ability to contribute to Squad organization and development.
