Data Engineer, Google Cloud API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs utilizing Google Cloud Platform.

• Create automated workflows and data platforms that facilitate analytics, reporting, and AI/ML applications.

• Adopt best practices for data security, governance, CI/CD, and automated deployment processes.

• Work collaboratively with data engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders.

• Generate high-quality, reusable code while mentoring team members on established best practices.

• Assist with testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on Data Architecture.

• At least 2 years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in API development.

• Extensive knowledge of: BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions.

• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), Java, or Scala.

• Experience with Apigee, Kafka, and Spark Streaming.

• Solid skills in SQL, CI/CD, and Git/GitHub.

• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Comprehensive experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and APIs.

• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and streaming architectures.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git/GitHub, and Agile methodologies.

• Exceptional communication skills and a capability to mentor junior engineers.
