Data Engineer – GCP Data SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and operationalize large-scale enterprise data solutions.

• Analyze, re-architect, and migrate on-premise data warehouses to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Build and oversee production data pipelines using Java, Python, Scala, and Spark.

• Design and implement data engineering functions within the GCP cloud environment.

• Conduct assessments of existing data platforms to facilitate the transition to GCP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience as a platform architect.

• More than 5 years of experience as a data platform architect.

• Proficiency with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.

• Experience with GCP cloud data services.

• Certification is preferred.

• Experience with stream-processing systems like Storm and Spark Streaming.

• Experience collaborating with analytics tools and open-source software.

• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
