This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the design, development, and execution of data management, reporting, workflow automation, and system integration solutions supporting Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
• Spearhead data projects, infrastructure, and automation initiatives aimed at enhancing grant administration, operational efficiency, data quality, and decision-making, while ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Provide technical guidance, project supervision, and ongoing improvement efforts to deliver innovative data solutions that bolster organizational performance and enhance outcomes for children and families.
• Manage intricate data engineering projects from initial planning to deployment, ensuring solutions meet scalability, security, reliability, and business requirements.
• Design and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, databases, data warehouses, and reporting systems.
• Develop and oversee API integrations and automated workflows across various systems and platforms.
• Establish and uphold data governance, data quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert business needs into technical solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements in processes and technology.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in project management, Agile methodologies, cloud technologies, data engineering, or associated disciplines are advantageous.
• At least 10 years of pertinent post-baccalaureate professional experience in data engineering, data management, database administration, system integration, business intelligence, analytics, or related technical fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Proven experience in leading complex, high-profile, multifaceted data projects.
• Experience managing enterprise data solutions, workflow automation initiatives, and system integrations.
• Experience with federal information systems is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting Head Start, Early Head Start, or early childhood education programs is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of database design, data modeling, ETL development, data warehousing, and enterprise data architecture.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with API development, system integration, and workflow automation.
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and information management best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with Docker, Confluence, and related development tools.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases.
• Experience implementing artificial intelligence technologies within data engineering, analytics, or automation environments is preferred.
