Data Engineer, CX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the data architecture from start to finish.

• Lead the data domains for Customer Experience and Logistics.

• Create and implement canonical data models.

• Ensure high data quality at scale.

• Streamline operational workflows through automation.

• Facilitate insights and experimentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a data or software engineer, focusing on building data warehouses, distributed data systems, or event-driven architectures.

• Ability to design and implement data models using dimensional, Data Vault, or ledger-style methodologies that accommodate both analytical and transactional workloads.

• Extensive hands-on experience with contemporary data tools for ingestion (e.g., Kafka, Debezium), transformation (dbt, Spark, Flink), orchestration (Dagster, Airflow), and observability (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations).

• Experience operating cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, including tasks related to schema design, cost optimization, and workload tuning.

• Proficient in writing production-quality code in Python or SQL, with experience integrating CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Enjoy collaborating across various disciplines—engineering, product, operations, analytics—to transform complex business requirements into streamlined data systems.

• Excel as a self-motivated individual in a dynamic environment, taking charge of both technical design and operational results.
