Data Engineer – CRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance data pipelines.

• Integrate various data sources.

• Ensure the availability and quality of data for both analytical and operational purposes.

• Create and sustain data pipelines utilizing AWS services, particularly Glue, Athena, and S3.

• Architect and execute ETL processes and data integration across different corporate systems.

• Aggregate data from multiple sources into centralized, scalable environments.

• Generate complex SQL queries for data transformation, modeling, and analysis.

• Maintain data quality, performance, reliability, and governance standards.

• Assist with initiatives to transition data platforms to AWS.

• Contribute to the advancement of cloud data architectures.

• Develop and manage dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using data visualization tools.

• Oversee production environments, pinpoint bottlenecks, and resolve issues.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to convert business requirements into data solutions.

• Engage in agile ceremonies and participate in the ongoing enhancement of development processes.

• Support Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Platform initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong familiarity with AWS, specifically:

• AWS Glue

• Amazon Athena

• Amazon S3

• In-depth knowledge of data modeling and integration.

• Experience in developing ETL pipelines.

• Advanced SQL proficiency.

• Experience in consolidating data from diverse sources.

• Background in complex corporate settings and handling large data volumes.

• Understanding of data architecture and analytical platforms.

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in production environments.

• Strong communication skills for liaising with both technical and business sectors.

• Experience with agile methodologies.

• AWS Certified Data Engineer is a plus.

• AWS Solutions Architect or Data Analytics certifications are a plus.

• Familiarity with Alteryx is a plus.

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or ThoughtSpot is a plus.

• Knowledge of financial services, insurance, or large data-driven organizations is a plus.

• Involvement in data migration projects to AWS is a plus.

• Understanding of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence is a plus.

• Experience with modern data and analytics ecosystems is a plus.
