Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Convert data into actionable insights that facilitate decision-making and promote business development.

• Maintain continuous oversight of data quality.

• Establish processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

• Safeguard data against unauthorized access using security measures such as encryption and access controls.

• Collaborate closely with data experts and business teams to comprehend their requirements.

• Assess the performance of data platforms and implement enhancements to boost efficiency and scalability.

• Document data engineering methodologies and procedures to ensure practices are reproducible and easily understood.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Fields of Study: Systems Analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar disciplines.

• Education Level: An undergraduate degree that is either completed or currently in progress.

• Programming Languages: Essential proficiency in languages like Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.

• Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle, along with non-relational databases like MongoDB.

• Familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as Amazon S3 or other cloud services.

• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

• Expertise in distributed storage and processing systems.

• Knowledge of Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

• Strong, clear, and effective communication skills when interacting with other data professionals and business teams.
