Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Work closely with data scientists, architects, and other stakeholders to comprehend and execute business requirements.

• Offer data engineering assistance for the development and deployment of AI models, ensuring data scientists have the necessary data in the required format.

• Design and enhance data transformations and ETL/ELT processes, utilizing suitable data engineering tools.

• Engage with various databases and data warehousing solutions to efficiently store and retrieve data.

• Establish monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance protocols for data pipelines to guarantee high data quality and optimize performance.

• Contribute to the creation and ongoing upkeep of documentation, including data dictionaries, data catalogs, data flow diagrams, and process documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Python and SQL programming languages.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database schema design.

• Background in supporting data science workloads and working with both structured and unstructured data.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
