Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for complete data engineering projects from start to finish.

• Design, construct, sustain, and enhance scalable data pipelines utilizing Dagster, Python, and Snowflake.

• Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code while ensuring the quality and scalability of the codebase.

• Maintain high standards of data quality through comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and data monitoring.

• Create and develop intricate data models in accordance with industry best practices.

• Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to uphold high standards.

• Support the design and execution of our data architecture.

• Remain informed about industry trends and new technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a similar position, demonstrating a history of independent work and impactful contributions.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (Snowflake preferred).

• Experience utilizing monitoring and alerting tools.

• In-depth knowledge of engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, writing DRY code).

• Practical experience with a modern data orchestrator (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).

• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and methodologies (like Kimball dimensional modeling, data vault, etc.).

• Proficient in dbt.

• Comfortable using Git and managing version control workflows.
