Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and execute data architecture as well as ETL solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to grasp data requirements and create scalable, adaptable data models.

• Develop data ingestion pipelines and frameworks to effectively capture and integrate data from diverse sources into the data warehouse platform (both on-premises and cloud).

• Define data storage and retrieval mechanisms, including multi-tenant data partitioning, indexing, and compression, to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.

• Create and sustain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to transform, cleanse, and integrate data from various data sources.

• Conduct data profiling, analysis, and troubleshooting to identify and rectify data-related issues.

• Identify technical enhancement areas and present comprehensive business cases for improvements or new opportunities.

• Collaborate with external and internal teams to address infrastructure-related challenges while developing integration solutions.

• Partner with IT functional leads to comprehend the application architecture and establish appropriate integration mechanisms.

• Adhere to DevOps practices across all analytics systems.

• Convey complex ideas in simple terms and interact effectively with decision-makers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3 years of experience in designing and executing data engineering solutions on-premises/cloud.

• Strong expertise in SQL, ADF, Azure Databricks, or other ETL tools.

• In-depth understanding of data modeling principles and techniques.

• Good familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data integration patterns, and data warehouse concepts.

• Exposure to visualization tools (QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

• Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry is preferred.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
