This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Design, develop, and sustain cutting-edge data pipelines.
• Create and implement robust, scalable ELT pipelines for data ingestion from multiple sources into Snowflake.
• Take ownership of the dbt project architecture, crafting intricate SQL-based data models.
• Oversee the Snowflake environment to maximize cost-effectiveness and performance.
• Promote data integrity by integrating observability tools and setting up alerts.
• Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers by conducting code reviews and establishing best practices for SQL.
• Convert business needs into technical specifications and data models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical area (or equivalent practical experience).
• Over 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering and Database Development, specifically with medical and prescription claims.
• More than 2 years of direct experience with Snowflake, including architecture, snowpipe, streams/tasks, and security.
• At least 1 year of production experience using dbt (developing packages, macros, and incremental models).
• Proficient in Python for scripting, creating custom connectors, or managing orchestration tasks.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines for data (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
