Data Engineer – AI, Agents, Context – Revenue Cycle (Associate)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the AI context platform.

• Create end-to-end pipelines: ingestion → parsing/chunking → enrichment → embeddings → vector indexing → retrieval/serving.

• Establish and uphold patterns for incremental refreshes, backfills, re-embeddings, deduplication, and lineage across unstructured data sources.

• Collaborate with AI engineers to improve retrieval quality (query strategies, hybrid search, metadata filtering).

• Provide semantic and governed data products.

• Implement semantic layers (metrics/entities) that consistently drive BI and agent reasoning.

• Ensure documentation and reusability of datasets and indexes.

• Support reliability and performance in assigned workstreams: monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and incident response.

• Contribute to optimization of costs and latency across Snowflake and vector infrastructure.

• Employ security-by-design practices: RBAC/ABAC, PII redaction, retention controls, and audit logging.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles with a strong focus on hands-on delivery.

• Proficient in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java); possesses solid production engineering habits.

• Practical experience with Snowflake, including pipeline design, data modeling, and operating at scale within a production environment.

• Experience in designing and managing cloud data pipelines at scale.

• Familiarity with unstructured data processing and search/retrieval concepts.

• Excellent communicator capable of effectively collaborating across technical and functional teams.
