Data Associate – Data Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Spearhead analytical initiatives to promote data-driven decision-making throughout the organization by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing/presenting technical insurance data.

• Partner with data engineering, insurance product, claims, finance, and operations teams to enhance data integrity and streamline reporting processes utilizing VBA, SQL, and Python.

• Convert intricate insurance data into clear, persuasive insights for both technical and non-technical audiences through necessary reporting and data visualization.

• Perform comprehensive data analyses, create analytical tools, and provide tailored solutions to assist other departments in automating their workflows while identifying opportunities to improve business performance and operational efficiency.

• Offer ad hoc analytical support and research as required to ensure Ledgebrook maintains a data-driven approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in SQL and Excel (preferably including VBA and Power Query).

• Familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools (such as Tableau, Looker).

• Experience or proficiency in programming languages (like Python, R) and modern databases, preferably with Snowflake.

• Capability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

• Ability to thrive in a startup environment characterized by a fast pace and uncertainty.

• Preferred: Experience with Property, Specialty, or Casualty insurance data, along with a strong interest in AI and ML tools.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in Poland without requiring current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
