📋 Description

• Create and execute a Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture from the ground up, outlining the layer structure (Bronze, Silver, and Gold / Medallion Architecture), along with the logical and physical data organization, ensuring the solution’s scalability and resilience;

• Analyze and suggest the most suitable technology stack tailored to the client's context (including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and/or Snowflake), considering volume, complexity, and governance needs;

• Develop and enforce the data governance framework — encompassing cataloging, classification, and lineage — to establish a unified data catalog as the central management component of the platform;

• Strategize integration approaches to collect data from unstructured sources (spreadsheets, SharePoint, legacy systems), defining ETL/ELT standards and loading strategies (full load or incremental as necessary);

• Set technical standards for data modeling, data contracts, and development best practices to guide the engineering team;

• Assess data volume and characteristics to propose the most appropriate processing platform;

• Lead and mentor the team in executing the defined solutions, performing technical reviews, and ensuring compliance with architectural choices;

• Convert technical decisions into clear and accessible documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with Data Architecture in cloud environments;

• Profound understanding of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse architectures, including Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers);

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft data ecosystem (Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Microsoft Fabric);

• Practical experience with data cataloging and lineage, with Unity Catalog (Databricks) as a fundamental requirement;

• Familiarity with Databricks, Fabric, and/or Snowflake for assessing, recommending, and/or implementing data platforms;

• Capability to independently make technical decisions, including the selection and justification of tools and platforms without needing technical validation from the client;

• Experience in integrating data from diverse and unstructured sources (spreadsheets, files, SharePoint, APIs);

• Background in financial services, asset management, or holding companies is a valuable plus.
