Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take a key role in the design and implementation of innovative cloud solutions.

• Lead the strategies for migration and modernization that enable clients to fully utilize AWS capabilities.

• Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure that cloud architectures are strong, effective, and meet client goals.

• Develop and communicate a persuasive value proposition for AWS migration, showcasing its transformational advantages to client executives.

• Define and carry out technical migration and modernization strategies in partnership with highly skilled teams.

• Deliver modern architectures, including microservices and event-driven designs, utilizing managed services and cloud-native features.

• Collaborate with clients’ development, infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams to discover repeatable patterns and architectures for cloud migration.

• Recognize opportunities for platform enhancements and influence future versions of the AWS platform and Migration Acceleration Program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in advanced English.

• Background in application or infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.

• Experience in specific technology areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data, and analytics.

• Demonstrated experience in a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect position, overseeing the discovery, design, and development of custom and commercial applications.

• Familiarity with Terraform & AWS CloudFormation for migration tasks.

• Experience with AI tools (Kiro, Kiro Cli, or others).

• Expertise in architecting, designing, and migrating workloads to public cloud environments.

• Knowledge of various migration discovery, profiling, automation, and operations tools and technologies.

• Experience with multi-tier distributed architecture in IT consulting, IT operations, application development, or support roles.

• Comprehension of large IT budgets, complex vendor relationships, and the capacity to collaborate across teams to advocate for cloud migration.

• Strong understanding of multiple migration strategies, such as rehosting, refactoring, re-architecting, replatforming, and repurchasing.
