Data Architect

📋 Description

• Facilitate, guide, and influence both the client and teams in adopting an effective architectural pattern while acting as a liaison between business leadership, technology leadership, and the delivery teams.

• Design solution architecture on the Google Cloud platform.

• Implement Proof of Concept (POC) and Minimal Viable Product (MVP) workloads.

• Create a data platform that encompasses the implementation of:

• Database objects

• Data

• Data Pipelines

• Orchestration

• Users and Security

• Migrate workloads successfully.

• Conduct migration activities, including:

• Translating DDL, Stored Procedures, and Queries into the syntax supported by BigQuery and Cloud SQL (Postgres and MySQL).

• Executing data transfers using both native Google Cloud tools and third-party applications.

• Setting up and configuring related Google Cloud components through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Engage with customer teams as a Google Cloud expert to deliver:

• Educational Workshops

• Architectural Recommendations

• Technology reviews and suggestions

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of overall database management and IT experience.

• Proven experience in defining technical architecture on Google Cloud, including Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Cloud Functions.

• At least 2 years of experience with Google Cloud.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing data models in BigQuery.

• Advanced SQL proficiency, including the capability to:

• Write, optimize, and interpret SQL queries.

• Tool-specific experience with the RDBMS mentioned above is preferred.

• Experience in utilizing SQL Frameworks such as dbt or Dataform.

• Advanced programming skills, preferably in Python, including the ability to:

• Utilize data processing frameworks like Spark, Beam, or Pandas.

• Use orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Cloud Workflows.

• Develop APIs using GraphQL, Fast API, Django, or Flask.

• Google Cloud Professional Architect and/or Data Engineer Certification is highly recommended.

• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in creating FHIR stores, is a plus.

• Familiarity with Healthcare API and Healthcare Data Engine is advantageous.

• Demonstrated success in migrating databases such as Teradata to BigQuery.

• Proven experience in migrating databases like MySQL, Postgres, and Oracle to Cloud SQL.
